I find that effective communication is difficult to discuss with other people. Most people have difficulty looking at the real truth. We all find it hard to see ourselves in truth. This means facing up to our mistakes. I can give an example. I made a big mistake and did not follow up on a gift of 2000 shares of stock in a company traded on the Nasdaq. To make it understandable I needed to register them. I put this off and then got a letter from the State Department of Lost Property. The company whose stock had been given to me sent the shares to the lost property division. It has taken me two years to get this valuable gift back. I was fortunate to be able to retrieve the gift. I have forgiven myself which allows me to share this information with you. The truth is that I must have had other priorities that took over my life and clouded my discernment. When I accepted the gift I accepted the responsibility to use the value responsibly and I failed. There are no excuses only introspection and a desire not to do anything like this ever again. I hope someone will share their experiences about taking responsibility with us.
