Highlighting more of my accomplishments and providing context rather than just listing out skills.
I had just re-posted my resume in the Experience section. I did not realize it was intended to be a more causal description of your experience that how it is described on your resume. Makes sense. I need to make this change and also change how I advise students to make that connection.
It is interesting how many more searches a profile will appear in if they have at least 5 skills in the skill section.
Skills! This is a section I do not have completed, but something I plan on adding ASAP!
I am amazed at what I can add to my profile!
I've learned that the experience section should be much more casual than I thought. I intend to rewrite that section and make it feel more approachable.
Symbols- I did not know this.
Having a LinkedIn account is very important but it doesn't end there. Your LinkedIn account need to tell your story from the profile picture. Your profile picture attracts the recruiters which is why it must be professional and it represent your profession.
