This module helped me better understand the importance of developing clear processes and procedures to create consistency, organization and accountability in the workplace or learning environment. This will help reduce confusion, improve communication and makes expectations easier for everyone to follow.
I learned that the training plan is key to connecting classroom learning with real workplace experience and should include clear goals, standards, and expectations for the student. I plan to apply this by helping create more detailed plans with students and employers so everyone knows what skills are being developed on the job.
This module reinforced how important it is to intentionally connect classroom learning to real-world experiences. I plan to design more projects and reflections that tie directly to students’ work placements so they can clearly see the purpose behind what they’re learning.
Training plans can assist the student in relating classroom learning to its applicability in career pathway planning and experiences.
I am curious to know if other states have had better luck with businesses acknowledging and/or having an awareness of the NCRC credential. Here in NE Ohio, we haven't had much luck!
