This course mentioned that job placement agencies services are not free. That is untrue. A reputable staffing agency bills a markup on the payrate to the client. A staffing agency may be a good option for some veterans.
I was shocked to learn that 80% of jobs are not found online...especially in this technological age.
Networking and not burning bridges are old lessons which can still be applied today. Word of mouth travels fast and can lift you up or bring you down.
It is a great point worth noting again: Vets are more suspectible to scams because of the time away from civilian life.
