Required to Document Graduate Placement
How common is a college requring graduate placement documentation?
Has anyone ever run into a situation where calling students every month or calling their employers has been considered a violation of privacy or harassment?
I would think that more often students would just not pick up the phone.

You bring up an important point. That's why it is important to develop strong relationships with students so when they graduate you become a school that happily never leaves them. It is important to build relationships with Alumni so you can always call them and they will provide placement data.
