Instructors

At times it gets hard to verify that all information on an instructors resume is correct.  What is a best practice?

The important information must be verified. If an instructor is not qualified to teach in a program that will hurt your program quickly. Students are not interested in wasting time with an unqualified instructor.

Then it is imperitive that several of the present staff speak with the instructor either individually, or collectively. The new instructor needs to be a good fit for the program and the current stable staff. Upper management needs to listen to the feedback from these staff members. There is no good to hiring an instructor who is going to quit or need to be fired half way through the orientation process.
