I agree, it's extremely important for people to feel free to share their ideas openly and without prejudice. This is the only way to truly brainstorm.

We also agree. Brainstorming can really be exciting where lots of innovative ideas can be shared and developed. It does require a Team environment where people are confident that all ideas are good. Of course some might be good for later on rather than right away. An openness to change is also important since really great ideas usually require doing things differently. It might take a few brainstorming sessions to help convince everyone you are serious about wanting to hear about all ideas. Thanks, Susan
