Encouraging innovation and free thinking

When able to allow group projects, encouraging
innovation and free thinking is a good way to
get things started, finding multiple points
of view to work with, even ideas that are "outside the box" are helpful, varying points of view help every one get a better look at the problem and possible solutions.

I agree. I feel that "outside of the box" ideas are often some of the most unique ideas, and are wonderful to utilize in projects or daily work, and even if they are not appropriate for these projects, get the brain storming and new ideas initiated.

Innovation is a great motivator; it allows each participant to present ideas as well as hear new ones. By being open new possibilities may arise that could be very useful.

No one has the correct approach to every situation. Encouraging input yields innovative ideas, but supervisors must be willing to hold judgement.

In any work environment, we are now seeing the integration of 4 distinct groups...the traditionalists, the boomers, the xers, and the nexters. Each of these groups have many ideas and creative ways to resolved complex work issues. It is imperative that this is valued and fostered to make the greatest product.

Group projects always allow you to see how people think and find new ideas on how to make a project more creative.

open sharing of ideas, experiences and situations usually helps everyone expand their own concepts and solutions.... refinement.

giving your employees the opportunity to help solve problems and come up with solutions, makes them feel like they are part of the team.
