What if the problem is with a consultant?

What if the problem seems to stem from the attitude of a paid consultant? Has anyone ever been in a situation whereby a well-respected consultant was helpful with his/her guidance and expertise but detrimental at the same time due to him/her sharing negative perceptions of the organization's leadership style and organization's culture?
If so, how did you handle the situation?

Dr. Rita,
If I was in your situation, I would inform the consultant that their negative comments only worsen the organization's culture and morale of the office.

If the consultant has suggestions for management(people in leadership) that is the only people that should hear about it. Furthermore, that is the only way things will improve is if it's brought to leaderships/management attention, not those that can't make changes. No point in that, it only causes employees to believe they are getting shorted or mistreated.
