Running meetings
The most useful part of this tutorial to me was the description of how to run a meeting or work in a group. I have been elected PTA president for next year and I am getting ready to do just that. It is a different experience from teaching college classes. My biggest concern is that last year's president will be at the meetings so there may be some control issues. Has anyone ever had this issue?
I believe this tutorial will assist me in bringing out ideas from those participating in the group session. In the past, participation has been a problem. It is as if those present are afraid to express their thoughts for fear of critizism of piers. When this happens, finding the cause, much less a solution, become impossible.
I agree. Problem solving sessions in groups can be fun!
