Feedback as a teaching tool.

Even though I am a instructor , I found this topic incredibly insightful. I feel that this type of training is missing at the instructor level.

I would propose a way to cater this sort of knowledge down to senior students. This is one area of career development that I do see lacking.

Learning how to give proper feedback in the correct way is a skill that must be learned and then practiced.

Starting this type of training/ critical thinking early is a must. And i for one truly enjoyed this course. This will not only help me to lead teams I am in charge of but also help me train the leader of tomorrow to have this sort of training before they get to the work place.

You make really good points Charlie,  this training is a very necessary tool  I teach in a post secondary facility and I believe or instructors can learn quite a bit from this particular coaching class that I just took.

Constructive Feedback is a part of our entire curriculumn by solicitating and providing to both students and the scholl itself.  Where we lack is within in the structure of the staff.  One time we completed a 360 eval for a manager and great change came from it.  When we look to promote from within, we also do 360 evals.  I think we would benefit from annual reviews being done in this fashion for all staff and faculty, not just on a need to do basis.
