When negoiitating with others you must be a good listener

I totally agree. Listening is so important

I also think that you must be truthful when you are negotiating. When in the negotiation processI think that it helps to clarify everything for all the negotiators involved if information is clarified in terms of restating what has been said.

This is so true and is probably one of the most overlooked tips in the art of successful negotiation. Much valuable information can be mined from effective listening that can be very helpful during the course of the negotiation. Additionally, if you are actively listening, the other party will be aware of this and will appreciate that you are not merely "going through the motions."
