Stage Fright

Before addressing a new class, I like to practice my first day presentation at home, before I even get to school. I also use note cards and other props...Even though I have done the same class several times, it helps to avoid "dead space" and verbal clutter ("...um....um..."

I agree with you chris, I always had a fear of public speaking and in my position as a admissions representative I have alot of interaction with groups and to be effective with the presentation I always practice even though I had done this numerous times in my 5 years in this position. I totally agree with preparing before you actually do your presentations. You also need to keep their interests to be effective with your message being received.
