Powerful Presentations
I have been using my teaching strategies as well as my motivational speaking techniques to better myself both in and outside of the classroom. I would love to hear some of the strategies or tips used by other educators who find themselves in front of rather large groups on the daily.
Get your audience involve from the start makes it much easier to reach them
Speak to them, not at them. Be available and give freely of yourself. Communicate at their level.
Getting the audience involed will make a large group presentation seem to be a more personal one. Humor can always enhance reaching the final objectives of your presentation!
Begin with the end in mind and stick to the point!
Always let you audience know what you desire them to do with the information you are providing.
Make a connection with your audience from the beginning. Let them know you are where they are, as this allows your audience to 'let you in' and thus, they are more receptive to listen to what you have to say.
