I agree with you! I find that students enjoy responding to other students responses, plus it often expands their knowledge of the topic, or makes them see an idea that they might not have seen without another students response.

I think it even helps when students answer other students questions, or everyone can look it up and find the answer together. Somehow it seems to help everyone remember the answer. I find that if one student has a question, probably another student has the same question.

When students go out of their way to answer ather students' comments or questions, they are starting to think on thier own about the topic and it allows them to absorb the information on their own context.
