Active Listening

One of my biggest problems in meetings is to regulate myself. I often find that when I run a meeting I can be a bit overbearing. active listening is a skill that I try to practice as much as possible during meetings in order to avoid just me dominating the discussion.

Paul ,
87% of communication is listening. If we listen more than talking our statements will e headed with greater importance.

Dr Carlson strongly support your statement. Too many times I go to meetings and no one wants listen. This type behavior just makes meeting none productive and pointless. What I have started to do, if not in charge, I just leave. later I go back and tell my boss or meeting host why I departed. We waste so much time not listening...

Eon

Eon,
You are good to share this information with your boss. You can be the mentor of good listening and followed by great input.
