Involving students

As an online professor how do you go about involving your students in giving feedback to your rubrics? I know sometimes I have trouble getting feedback just on the live chats.

Carolyn,

Ah - I just answered that in another posting. Let me remember what I said. Ha! Good feedback simply comes if the students are confused. If there is confusion, the criteria may not be clear. When I have a project/end of course assignment rubric, I simply ask them to post (anonymously) any comments they have about the rubric. When I use rubrics like a discussion board rubric that I use 2-3 times per week throughout the semester, I may ask for feedback at the end of the course. And, I always add a question about asking students to give me feedback in general about assessment and the rubrics used in the course. Hope this is helpful.

Thanks for your question.
