Challenges of development
Personally, I tend to believe that the development of online courses requires a higher level of ability for a number of reasons. Primarily, the need to concentrate on the various levels of technical ability of the learners as well as motivating the students when the in class opportunities are not available. What are your thoughts on this?
I agree. I develop both online and traditional. I find that I am more engaged in designing the online as I am really thinking creatively to ensure the learning outcomes translate into appropriate formats for online.

I agree because learning in a classroom setting and a web based class is totally different. You cannot always form a bond with the students when you are behind a computer screen.

You can always have one on one phone calls or conference calls with your students once a grading period or something to form a bond.
