I want to know if students and instructors seeing staff in facilities doing something wrong or performing improper hygiene should be confronted in a professional manner is appropriate? I work for a healthcare system where the culture is see something say something.

I think it is important for students to observe others and take notice of correct and incorrect procedures. I have had students observe improper technique and report to me. I have a good working relationship with my clinical facility and I am comfortable talking with the employees and administration when something is out of place. Sometimes students will talk with the staff and explain they learned it differently. I don't think it is wrong to professionally remind someone to wear gloves or wash their hands.
