Scavenger Hunt

Issue each student a list of items that they need to collect. Make sure each student has a name tag on that helps.

Give each student 1 or 2 of those items.

Have each student go around the room introducing themselves and asking for items on the list.

This makes for a good icebreaker and a way for students to meet and get to know each others' names on the first day of class.

Maybe the items could be supplies they will use on the job, or prefixes, suffixes, etc. This is a nice adaptation of a teaching idea, thanks for sharing it.

I have been looking for good icebreaker games for the first day of class....thank you for this great idea!!

I am trying this game in my next class. I am going to use the terms from their next test. Putting the medical terms on index cards and placing them around the school. Then I'll give each student a group of cards with definitions on them and they will have to go around the school and find the term that matches their card. I'll let you know next week how it worked out!

This scavenger hunt sounds productive and fun. Enjoy!
