Durante este módulo aprendí que el uso responsable de la inteligencia artificial en la educación requiere una combinación de pensamiento crítico, ética y supervisión constante. Comprendí la importancia de evaluar la relevancia de los contenidos generados por IA, identificar posibles sesgos, mantener la transparencia sobre su uso y asegurar que estas herramientas apoyen el aprendizaje sin reemplazar el desarrollo de habilidades esenciales en los estudiantes.
También aprendí que existen diferentes formas de interactuar con la IA —Tell, Team y Trust— y que cada una requiere estrategias específicas para monitorear la calidad, la equidad y la precisión de los resultados. Además, entendí que la responsabilidad final sobre los materiales y decisiones educativas siempre recae en el docente.
Pienso aplicar estos conocimientos utilizando la IA como una herramienta de apoyo para diseñar actividades, escenarios y recursos educativos, pero siempre revisando cuidadosamente la información antes de compartirla con mis estudiantes. Asimismo, procuraré ser transparente sobre el uso de la IA y fomentar en mis alumnos una actitud crítica y responsable hacia estas tecnologías. De esta manera, podré aprovechar sus beneficios mientras mantengo altos estándares éticos y profesionales en mi práctica docente.

I kind of feel like I haven't learned a lot - it's about careful judgement, which we already need and use in everyday teaching. It is interesting to see where the program leans on teachers to use AI in their classrooms, but reminds them that the liability for that use falls upon the person, not the program. I wonder how many individual teachers get to choose the system that the district uses for their program?
I understood the importance of when and how to disclose the use of AI. It's important to disclose that it was used as a tool and not a crutch.
I learned how important it is to understand disclosure levels and know when to reveal the use of AI in various educational and professional settings. Differentiating between direct content creation, collaborative use, and behind-the-scenes help is crucial since not all AI involvement calls for the same amount of explanation. While complete transparency is required in certain situations to uphold trust, academic integrity, and professional reputation, in others a brief acknowledgment of AI aid is acceptable. Additionally, I discovered that transparent disclosure guarantees that students and colleagues may critically assess the resources being used and helps avoid misunderstandings regarding authorship. In the future, I'll be more deliberate in determining when AI use should be made clear and how to convey it in a way that is truthful, acceptable, and consistent with moral teaching methods.
We need to be smart consumers of AI when it comes to integrating student learning.
