Staying involved with many organizations is very important to keep us on the cutting edge. Most of the instructors at my school all used to be in the field and we all need to keep up with what has changed

I agree Charles. I like to keep in contact with all of the Techs I worked with in the field and ask them all the newer technology being used as well as some problems with the technology so I can address it when it comes up in discussion. It is real time learning that way.
