New Technology
There are new resources available with our instructional book tha can allow students to take quizzes on-line before class, track their time on on-line resources etc. Has anyone used these new features such as Learn Smart or Course Smart etc.? How well do they help the students prepare for class?
Our facility uses e-college. The students are to complete the on-line portion of their chapter before coming to class. This enables the students to have a grasp on the chapter material, which the instructor will develop on during the classroom training. We find this very useful not only to the students, but as a tool for the instructor to fine tune their facilitation based on the problem areas of the on-line portion.
I think the Course Smart actually reinforces students knowledge. It's just like on here when we use our quizzes for the development. I think this is the one time I think the quizzes reinforce the knowledge.
I find that most students do well if they take the time to read and take the time to fill out the quiz.
