If the concept and research of adaptive learning was theorized in the 1950's, why has it taken all these years for this concept to bloom?

Hi Dell,

Good question. I do not know for sure but it could be a couple of things. First the methods used in the 50's worked so why change. And even when the decision to change is made change comes very slowly. Also I think it could have something to do with educators wanting to research adaptive learning before utilizing it.
