Conceptual Groups

At times I will implement my students to get together in smaller groups when creating a menu to create. This reinforces the learning objectives as the group can see the bigger picture at the end. Not only that it creates great teamwork within the group, it reinforces their self esteem at the same time.

Thanks for the information Glenn! I greatly appreciate it.

I also have my students work in a group environment for about 25% of all of my classes. When they get into the working world, they are going to have to do this anyways; therefore, I like to exposed them to that environment now so that they are prepared for their future endeavor.

I explain to my students how important it is to work as a team. brainstorming.....

Joseph,

I agree collaborative activities are an important part of the student's ability to network and work with others.

David,

Yes, with proper structuring, students can learn quite a bit from working with their fellow classmates.
