learning
a good way of including all students in class of making sure they are learning is to periodically review with all students ( whole class) what everyone is or should be doing at that time
Hi Walter:
You describe what I sometimes refer to as "where we're at". It's based on the assumption that one or more students have sort of lost their place in what is currently being discussed, it's importance, and/or significance.
The old saying, "tell them what you're going to tell them, then tell them, then tell them what you told them". I don't do it a lot, but frequently enough to bring others up to speed. The feedback I've received has been generally good from students.
