Response to Bruce, organization is the key. This helps with time management and prevents further confusion. How can we expect students to be organized if we ourselves are not. I believe in getting things done as they arise. This helps prevent problems from arising in the future or if situations beyond our control, occur at least we were prepared ahead of time. If it can happen it most likely will. By being prepared it lets us get on with the topic at hand and not having to do housekeeping. Sharon

If you want to lose students - this is definitely one mechanism why colleges will lose students in the first day of class. Your instructors must be prepared - hire early, don't slam dunk them in class, provide support- administrative and moral and last but not least do not micro manage

Theres a saying that we can't manage time - we can onl manage ourselves. That said, organizing ourselves to use our available time wisely will be produce improved efficiency.
