how in depth should i get when describing students to speakers

when sending an information sheet to guest speakers who in depth should i be with the personalities of the class?

I usually let my speakers know that the students will by shy at first (sometimes for the whole class), but usually warm up. If it is a beginner class or advanced class, then I think the speaker should know. I instruct computer techonology classes and if I have an advanced class, then the speaker should not be talking about back beginner material. The students would become bored rather quickly.

Hi Amanda:
From the perspective of the speaker, you are being very concientious, and I think most guest speakers would be most appreciative to know at what level the student is at. The speaker has a message. It is only natural that message be as finely tuned to the students as possible.
