Our world of education is ever changing, we need to keep up with the influx of other language barriers IOT give all students an equal chance at success

Sometimes the use of technology can be important in making the students feel comfortable and discreet with their disability in front of peers.

Students need to be comfortable with their disabilities. When they can advocate for themselves, they are more likely to be successful in their ventures.

Important to understand the types of Disabilities you are working with whether identified previously in early grade school or later.

When looking at the factual evidence that a large number of adults read on an 8th grade level, makes the need for more reading intervention programs outside of school to be available to students at an early age where wanted/needed.

I learned about ways that veterans can be supported and how important this is. I was also surprised to learn that IEPs do not follow students to college.

As a high school teacher, I was surprised by the statistics and realize that I must have students with PTSD and need to increase my awareness.

I need to be sure to know that there are many long standing effects that can happen to students.

Children experiencing PTSD often manifest symptoms differently than adults, frequently displaying behavioral changes such as regressive actions, repetitive trauma-themed play, or heightened separation anxiety rather than standard verbal expressions of distress.

I learned that students’ cultural backgrounds, family circumstances, and religious beliefs can influence their educational experiences and success. I will apply this by creating an inclusive classroom, respecting individual differences, and avoiding assumptions about students based on their backgrounds. I will also use diverse examples and resources in my high school science lessons so all students feel represented and supported.
