I like the use of the 60 second questions to help determine a students style.  If you use it early, later difficulties can be avoided.

There are a lot of ways outdside the box to get the point across to students.  Just as students are more comfortabel with some style, I'm more confortabel with others.  I need to stretch to make sure I'm reaching eveyone.

Different students learn differently.  If you teach to the individual's style they will learn more effectively.

It's been a tough year, with a monumental learning curve.  I need to not let work overwhelm everything else.  I plan on working on a better balance between work and the rest of my life.  I've already added some of the stress deduction techniques.  But  have found others that I'll be adding.

I learned to preplan what to leave out and not rush to meet my agenda.  Go with the flow of the audience, get the point across, but possibly present the rest of the material at a later time.

Now that I clearly understand it, this makes wm want to start looking for service learning opportunities.

if you focus to narrowly you can come up with a solurion, but it might not be the best solution. You may also pick a short term solution that sets you up for issues down the road.   If you are open to consider all options you can hopefully avoid this pitfall.  Having it pointed out might help avoid it in the future.

It can be bad depending on the approach.  If you prepare your plan you can give yourself an outline of good possible responses.

I found it helpful.  I need to focus more on delivering content based on the students learning style.  It's dfificult because they aren't all at the same letting go point, so you have to indiviualize who still needs coaching,& who needs deligation.  I also learned I may be over estimating their computer skills.  I sometimes get impatient believing they already know this.  Just because they grew up with computers doesn't mean they know how to use them in a professional capacity.

I agree.  Some of the students haven't been taught the soft skills in other areas of their life.  Adding them to the curriculum assures that everyone will be on the same page.  It will make work life go much smoother than without.
