Completion of this course for the second time provided an opportunity  for reinforcement training to keep me on top of my game. The goal is to use high standards and transparancy when speaking with prospective students to avoid compliance issues. By employing high standards, we are ensuring that our prospective students make the right decision to enroll and attain the career that they truly deserve.

One of the most important jobs we, as instructors have is to be a role model for our students. This means that we have to be on top of our game at all times, regardless of how our day is going or how much stress we are under. So many of my students really have not had a significant role model in theor lives and we, as instructors often find ourselves in this very important role. As a result, we have to do the best we can to guide our students. Their careers and lives depend on our efforts.

I took everyone's advice and spent some quality time reviewing this course. AS a result, I scored really well on the final exam in a little over 6 minutes spent on it. I really liked the differentiation between training and instruction. The reinforcement of traching the "soft skills" was an integral part of the course. I enjoyed this course and would highly recommend it to others.

New Career College Instructors are often subject matter experts as a result of time spent in their fields. However, they are lacking in their Instructional Delivery expertese. ED104 provided me many concrete methods for improving my skills in this area. As instructors, we have all encountered the shy students as well as the apple polishers and the talkative ones. Treating each type of student behavior fairly and consistently along with the proven strategies in ED104 makes management of these students a much easier task.

Soliciting feedback from our students is essential to our success as faculty as well as assessing student satisfaction and comprehension. We should be constantly listening for feedback and implementing the positive suggestions into our daily curriculum.

One of the most important aspects of our jobs as Career College Instructors is to effectively motivate our students. From my perspective, many of my students come to class on their first day with nobody in their previous lives who ever even attempted to motivate them in a positive way. When they become part of a positive and educational nurturing environment, their individual worlds open up and each of them are afforded an opportunity to succeed in their chosen career fields.

This course provided an excellent insight into the world of the Admissions Coordinators and the regulations they have to contend with on a daily basis. As an instructor, admissions is constantly asking me to interface with prospective students. As a result, I have to comply with the same rules and regulations they do. In conclusion, the course was an enlightening experience for me.

Wow! what a class. Many of us have played the role of project manager at least once in their careers, often without the proper training or insight. Unfortunately lack of training in project management skills often results in excessive stress for the entire team, scope creep and a project that may never be completed within the specified time and budget frame.

ML115 has provided the essential road map to follow when assuming the role as project manager. The support forms are especially valuable for documenting various aspects of the project. i hope that others who have taken this class or those considerintg… >>>

Self-discipline is the key to effectively managing scope creep. We as facilitators are constantly under pressure to make decisions or solve problems immediately. We can't be afraid to say "let me think about this". Some people may see this as hesitation due to indecisiveness. We have to overcome this stereotype and use the resources we have to make an informed and effective decision.

As instructors, we appreciate the fact that education truely is the most important investment an individual can make for themselves. our challenge is to convince our students of this fact. We can use real world success stories, citing our own accomplishments as benchmarks. As soon as students comprehend the importance of education, their committment and dedication are evident.
