This module emphasized the importance of thoughtful preparation before developing a lesson plan. I learned that effective lesson planning begins with clearly identifying learning outcomes, understanding students' needs, and selecting instructional strategies and assessments that align with those outcomes. Careful preparation helps ensure that lessons are organized, engaging, and focused on student learning rather than simply covering content. Assessment, instructional activities, and learning objectives should work together to create a meaningful learning experience.

As an Anatomy and Physiology instructor, I plan to apply these principles by creating assessments that evaluate not only content knowledge but also critical thinking and application of concepts to clinical scenarios

This module reinforced the idea that student learning assessment is much more than assigning grades. Effective assessment provides meaningful information about what students understand, where misconceptions exist, and how instruction can be adjusted to improve learning. I learned the importance of using both formative and summative assessments to monitor progress, provide timely feedback, and support student success throughout the learning process. Assessments should align with learning outcomes and measure not only knowledge recall but also critical thinking, application, and problem-solving skills.

This module reinforced the idea that effective questioning is one of the most powerful tools for promoting student engagement and critical thinking. I learned that well-designed questions can move students beyond simple memorization and encourage them to analyze, apply, and evaluate information. Questioning also provides valuable feedback about student understanding, allowing instructors to identify misconceptions and adjust instruction as needed

As an Anatomy and Physiology instructor, I plan to continue applying these concepts by offering students a variety of ways to interact with course material. I will use visual models, clinical scenarios, collaborative activities, and formative assessments to help students make meaningful connections between concepts. I also intend to gather feedback regularly to identify areas where students need additional support and adjust my teaching strategies accordingly. Ultimately, my goal is to create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that helps all learners succeed.

From this module, I learned that prevention and education are essential components of creating a safe, respectful, and inclusive campus environment. The training emphasized the importance of educating students, faculty, and staff about recognizing inappropriate behavior, understanding available resources, promoting respect and accountability, and encouraging early intervention to prevent incidents before they occur.

From this module, I learned that investigations and disciplinary procedures must be conducted fairly, objectively, and consistently while protecting the rights of all individuals involved. The training emphasized the importance of due process, thorough documentation, impartial investigations, and adherence to institutional policies and legal requirements. I also gained a better understanding of the roles of faculty and staff in supporting the process while avoiding actions that could compromise an investigation.

From this module, I learned the importance of timely, appropriate, and accurate reporting of potential Title IX and VAWA-related incidents. The training clarified the roles and responsibilities of employees, the available reporting options, and the steps institutions take to respond to reports while supporting those involved. I also gained a better understanding of maintaining confidentiality, documenting concerns, and ensuring that individuals are connected with the appropriate resources and support services.

From this module, I learned that Title IX and VAWA are important policies that help ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive learning environment for all students and employees. I gained a better understanding of recognizing and responding appropriately to reports of discrimination, harassment, sexual misconduct, domestic violence, dating violence, and stalking. I also learned the importance of reporting concerns through the proper channels and supporting individuals with sensitivity and respect.
