I plan to incorporate aspects of the flipped classroom by providing students with preparatory materials before class, such as short instructional videos, guided notes, and textbook assignments. This will allow class time to focus on case studies, laboratory activities, problem-solving exercises.

Effective problem solving involves clearly identifying the problem, gathering and analyzing relevant information, generating possible solutions, evaluating alternatives, implementing a plan, and reflecting on the outcome.

Analytical thinking provides the structure needed to evaluate evidence and make informed decisions, while creativity helps generate multiple approaches to solving a problem.

These characteristics are essential for lifelong learning and are particularly important in fields that require problem-solving and decision-making. My teaching approach already emphasizes encouraging students to think beyond memorization and actively engage with course content through analysis and application.

It helps students move beyond rote learning and develop the ability to solve problems, apply knowledge in new situations, and make sound judgments. Active learning strategies and real-world applications are particularly effective in promoting critical-thinking skills.

Effective implementation involves creating purposeful opportunities for students to engage with the material, collaborate with peers, solve problems, and apply concepts in meaningful ways.

Careful planning ensures that activities are purposeful, support course outcomes, and provide opportunities for meaningful student participation.

This module highlighted the importance of aligning support materials, instructional notes, and assessments to create a cohesive learning experience. I learned that support materials should reinforce learning objectives, provide students with multiple opportunities to engage with content, and accommodate diverse learning needs.

I learned that effective learning objectives describe what students should know or be able to do by the end of a lesson and should be aligned with course outcomes and academic standards. Well-written objectives help instructors focus instruction, communicate expectations clearly, and ensure that assessments accurately measure student achievement.

I intend to apply these concepts by developing lesson plans that clearly connect course objectives with lectures, laboratory activities, case studies, and assessments. I will continue incorporating active-learning strategies, formative assessments, and real-world clinical applications to help students make meaningful connections with the material.
