I have students access building codes AS THEY NEED THEM for credit rather than give a print out with the codes and a test on having memorized them,  When they can look up the required clearances around a water fountain to accommodate a wheelchair then incorporate tht information into their drawing it becomes meaningful and gives them the tools to stay current with this information.

This is a great idea Pat.  Students of this generation are so accustommed to having all the information handed to them! This also encourages them to see how information evolves.  Before there were power wheelchairs the measurements may have been smaller for standard, manual wheelchairs.  The ADA site keeps abreast of all of the changes as our world changes.
