What i took from this training is that i have seen these different leadership styles/traits in others without having a name to them. As in all things, i took the "good" things and threw out the "bad". I see now that some of what i thought was good was essentially a lack of leadership or using the wrong style of leadership for the wrong persons. I really appreciate the section on dealing with a challenging employee. The practice of going back to basics to determine any Knoweledge gaps that may need to be filled before i go through final steps toward letting someone go. I have seen first hand how constant rejection of ones work can undermine someone to a point where they are afraid to do even the simplest of tasks.
