A key element in in dealing with people in general is to have respect. by showing respect a relationship will develop in a positivity manner. this is true when working with you boss. I feel respect will also show up in the way you do your work. By having respect and regard for your work and performance good practices will come into play alutomatically.  You become more aware of your needs and the needs of your boss. It also makes you a valuable employee. Your boss not only gives you respect in return but will depend on you as a very reliable person.  You will take pride in what you do and it will be noticed; all because you have respect to not only your boss but those are you.
