I learned the importance of the different types of discussions, interactions and communications.
It is important to have engagement for questions and conversations, organization, hyperlinks for reading materials, and learning activities.
I intent to remember that, even if students attend an asynchronous learning environment, it is important to maintain frequent, or regular communication with them so they do not fall behind or feel left out. I do not want to risk any student falling behind because I failed to reach out to them or recognize they were struggling.
Lo aprendido en este módulo es de como el aprendizaje en línea cuenta con varias facilidades como ser la modalidad sincrónica y asincrónico como un aprendizaje basado en la autonomía, tomando en cuenta la clase en un entorno en línea ya sea mediante reuniones con el instructor o mediante los contenidos ya establecidos donde toma la decisión en qué momento estudiar y progresar a su propio ritmo.
Utilizar un enfoque combinado de las clases sincrónicas y asincrónicas para que cumpla con la satisfacción de las necesidades de aprendizaje y que el estudiante no se sienta aislado en su proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje.
Interesante la estrategia de profesores invitados, esto beneficia a que los estudiantes mantengan un interés elevado en el curso, permitiéndose realizar preguntas y recibir conocimiento de un profesional especializado en el área de interés.
The interactions in online learning need to be as close as possible to what the student would experience in a face to face classroom setting. This can be done through engaging students in a variety of question styles that both engage and guide the student. Having a guest speaker is a great way to add a real life experience aspect to the online class. Providing opportunities for both live discussions (as would take place in a brick and mortar classroom), as well as asynchronous discussing (going at the learner's pace to fit their life) are both ways to provide opportunities for online learners to expand what they have learned in the class.

Great module! I learned that Socrates was well-known for high level critical thinking questions and the politicians did not approve. I also learned the differences and similarities and/or replacement of a ground-based course compared to a live course.
I think I am going to start incorporating guest speakers into the clinical setting and lecture setting

Learning activities are key to helping students apply what they've just learned. For instance, after discussing the theory behind various cooking techniques, I have students immediately put that knowledge into practice by preparing dishes that demonstrate those techniques. These hands-on activities help them solidify their understanding and make the course content more relevant and exciting, as they can directly see how the skills they’re learning translate into real-world applications in the kitchen. These activities help students connect the dots between theory and practice, whether creating a new recipe or perfecting a cooking method.
In this module I learned that there are a number of components to online learning. The options to correspond with instructors and peers are needed in this space in order to have a healthy learning environment.
To continue to engage the active learner, mixing both synchronous and asynchronous methods may be the most appropriate.
We are more likely to use a hybrid model to help with student engagement. We also use discussion board with case studies to have students interact with each other more.
Excellent information on the advantages and disadvantages of synchronous versus asynchronous courses. Synchronous courses allow for face-to-face interaction and can create an atmosphere for lively discussions. Asynchronous courses allow students to take more time to reflect and process the information before they respond to discussion forums.
The course content has to be engaging so as not to cause the student(s) to feel isolated and/or frustrated. It is important to use a variety of media to keep the student engaged. Integrating critical thinking questions afford the student the ability to apply the knowledge they've gained. And, lastly, don't discount the impact of guest lecturers in an asynchronous learning environment. If selected appropriately to the content being delivered, they help to reinforce the material and provide the student insight into real-world applications.
Esta unidad trata sobre las actividades de apoyo en la enseñanza en línea, como la entrega de resúmenes de lecturas que deben ser de absoluto interés del estudiante, y con ello alcanzar los resultados de aprendizaje esperados. También, diferenciar una sesión síncrona, de una sesión asíncrona. Todos estos alcances los pondré en práctica sobre todo en la elección de las lecturas relacionada al tema a tratar en clase.
