I have learned to be professional in teaching one must be confident, dress preprofessional, and being on time is key to being an effective instructor.
i learned how to look for what is expected from me not only from the school, but the students and my co workers as well.
I have learned dressing professionally and starting class on time are essential in setting expectations. I will keep this in mind and will practice them.
With skill and all the right tools as a perfect plan for growth as an instructor.
Be a role model for the students
I learned the importance of continuous professional development as an educator instructor
Don't try and be the smartest in the room and get the students ready for the class and how they respond.
I've learned how to be professional in all aspects of my teaching, so I can be a great example to my students. I've also learned how to keep growing professionally and personally so I can be ready and present to start my class.
I have learned that striving to be a better instructor is an ongoing adventure. Knowing your strengths and weaknesses takes conscious efforts and time devoted to this is crucial to your growth.
I've learned that I am doing quite a few key things well :) and that is gratifying. One area I need to work on is providing clear instructions. I have an anything is possible way of thinking and our school makeup requires last minute changes due to space limitations. I'm always looking for professional responses to criticism of factors beyond our control and differences in thinking that generate barriers to learning. I want to learn how to communicate clearly with students who think differently than I to prevent power struggles and to prevent losing student engagement.
Teaching is being aware that learning new things to share with the student is a daily goal not just a one time occurrance.
As I reflect on my journey as a student in the past, I can recall the passion my instructors had for each subject. This truly inspired me throughout my time as a student. I hope to leave the same impression on my students.
commitment to how we present ourselves is important. Always respect others. Treat others the way they would want to be treated. show them you care and, are here to do your best every day. For them and for yourself.
Not only is it important to project professionalism with the way you dress and hygiene, but it is also important to remain professional in the way you speak and treat your co workers
Being a professional means to me is how I dress, communicate, behave and being respectful to others (students, fellow colleagues, patients, staff and others).
So far I've learned ways to model my behavior in order to maintain a positive and productive learning environment for my students. In addition to that, I've learned that I should keep in mind my instructional style should be conducive to the material we are learning.
I learned that effective teaching requires clear objectives, strong alignment between instruction and assessment, and the use of frameworks like Bloom’s Taxonomy to support student learning at different levels. I plan to apply this by writing clearer performance objectives, using action verbs, and designing lessons that move students from basic understanding to higher-order thinking and application.
