Transferring Credits
Does your school transfer credits? Why or why not?
We do transfer credits at our school. Our current academic structor is not broken down such that we can transfer credits into it. Most typical post secondary schools are broken down in more specific classes where we have on class that covers many different subjects for an 8 hour day.
Yes we do transfer credits depending on the comparability of the courses to ours.
Our school may transfer credits, it is more so a game of comparing apples to oranges. If the fruit is the same than the chances are higher that the credits may transfer over.:)
Our school does accept transfer credits on the basis of a valid transcript and the credits must be earned, as well as similar in nature to courses offered here. Generally, credits that were earned more than seven years prior to the current year will not be considered for transfer. We also have articulation agreements with several universities and colleges that offer bachelor degree programs.
As we all know the transferring of credits is up to the recievinging institution We strees to our students that it is HIGHLY unlikely that any of their credits will transfer.
However, in rare instances other institution have accepted our credits and vice verse. The latter is something that we do not relay to the students its just a FYI for the sake of this post. We do always encourage students to submit transcripts from previous attended schools just in case.
Our institution may or may not transfer credits. There are many determining factors which play into the transferability of credits, including comparability of the credits and courses.
Yes! Our school does accept transfer credit from other institutions. If we were unable to transfer in credit from prior education our school would be crippled. Students want to know that the time and money previously spent on educaiton meant something and that it will help them continue to further their education. Student do not mind starting but they do mind starting over!
