Electronic Networking Use

What are some best practices you have used (or would use) to maximize the electronic networking tools available on the Web in locating high quality online faculty?

Our program offerings are in the healthcare sector, including Nursing. Qualified faculty tend to be members of Nursing organizations such as the National League of Nurses (NLN) and the American Nurses Association (ANA). Nursing specific publications also offer an opportunity for ads to be placed in professional journals - many are available in an online/digital format. The widespread distribution of journals provides the ability to recruit from multiple states. As a member of the LinkedIn community, I can search for faculty among the membership using a key word or skill set or place an ad that is delivered to members. We also post open positions on our institution website.

Carolyn,
These are all excellent examples of well implemented advantages of professional associations and certifications. This kind of 'best practice' implementation will undoubtedly assist you in attracting high quality faculty to serve your institution's student body. Thank you for sharing your insights.
