Marketing a New Online Program

What are some ways to advertise a new program? Would it be a disadvantage if there is another similar program?

The most important consideration for advertising a new program is to identify all of the present marketing abilities and infrastructure all ready in place. If this is the first on-line course then this program is new, innovative, interesting and unique to the institution. These factors should be capitalized. If there are similar programs then marketing should note all the positives of the present programs such as reputation and successes. Perspective students and present students will believe the new on-line program will be of equal caliper if marketing does a good job in making the connection to reputation and successes of the institution.
