Open Source Learning Management System!

I am looking into an open source learning management system to implement a pilot in our school. Any recommendations?

Thank you very much in advance.

Moodle is a free web application that can be used to create online learning sites. Moodle is open source under the GPL licence. It can be run on Windows and Mac operating systems. The appearance of a Moodle site can be changed by using a different theme, and there are 85 available language packs.

Another option is SAKAI.

I have tried open source, but have had support difficulties. I recommend Blackboard. They seem to have a good pulse to provide a quality product.

A school I teach at uses Blackboard, and I have just begun to use a few of its features. So far, I really like it.

If you are interested in Open Source I would search for a vendor who supports that.

Moodle could be a good choice for you. It is free and works pretty good. It offers a variety of activities and resources that could satisfy most of the requirements for e-learning.
