Guillermo,
Given your answer, how would you address diversity of backgrounds in the online learning environment? At what point does responding to cultural and learning preparedness become cost prohibitive?
Dr. Robert Roehrich

Absolutely. The first question which must be answered is whether students will have full internet access. Besides for that, it is important to know if they will have the flexibility and motivation to fit online courses into their schedules. Although online courses are convenient, they include the added challenge of lack of defined schedule, which requires an extra measure of discipline on the part of the student.

Tzipora,
Yes, but try to focus on the traits and characteristics of a mixed student demographic profile. How will that impact how your faculty teach in the online environment?
Dr. Robert Roehrich

We currently have a blended RN to BSN program and adding a fully online program as an additional method for obtaining a BSN. Our students work full time and at least some overtime every pay period. They have families and other life events that often take priority over completing a course. What is the usualy attrition rate for online RN to BSN programs?

Margaret,
Unfortunately, I do not have an answer to your question. However, perhaps you should contact your state Board of Nursing or a public institution in your state that has a RN to BSN online program similar to yours.
