Technology is the way of the future when it comes to teaching but we still need the human connection between the student and the instructor.  Good read!

I find it interesting on how different generations learn differently.  This course is helping me understand those ways and how to teach different generations.

Different learning styles for different generations.  I found what written very informative.  Understanding the difference between each generation and how they perceive life.

I feel that having EQ would make you better at teaching.

I'm thinking that soft skills are important in all settings not just in the professional setting.

Try to over-prepare for any class.  It's always better to have more material than not enough.  We all make mistakes, learn from them and move on.

I've always told my students that if they need to vent, come to my office and tell me what is going on.  By listening to them, they feel like they are being heard which at times, is all they want.

I like to include all students if possible in our discussions.  Some students have strong personalities who love to be the center of attention while others are timid to speak.  Getting everyone engaged, gives the timid students a chance to be heard.

I have used ice breakers both in education and in my field of work.  I feel that everyone feels a little more relaxed after we did one. I would let a student pick one so it changes on a daily basis and you never knew what question it would be which made it more fun.  I think the course syllabus is vital so everyone knows what is expected from them from the first day and what we are offering our students.

Life experiences in an adult can be beneficial.  They are more self-motivated and would like more structure and want clear expectations in the classroom.
