Before this course I didnt realize that we needed to consider students with disabilities on the online environment. Going forward I will make sure I take this into account for my students. 

When creating a rubric its beneficial to get the students involved in the process. 

There are resources to help us develop our rubics. 

Rubics are very beneficial, but they are time consuming to create and they cannot have too much on them as it will get confusing for the studens. 

Rubic are an important tool for both students and instructors. It gives a detailed overview of how everything is graded on an objective level. 

I learned about the seven principles of good practice and how important they are to the students. 

The seven principles of good practice include:

1. Encourage contact between students and instructor
2. Develop reciprocity and cooperation among students
3. Encourage active learning
4. Provide prompt feedback
5. Emphasize time on task
6. Communicate high expectations
7. Respect diverse talents and ways of learning

Utilizing different online tools to assess your students is key to their success.

Communication is key in any environment, whether that be online learning, personal, or professional. 

Students must have good time management skills in order to keep track of assignments and when they are due. Without good time management skills the students can fall behind and miss important topics. 

I learned the importance of the rubic for the students to learn and understand how they are graded.
