Validity is crucial and ensures a test measures what it is intended to measure.

 

I learned about summative assesment, which is a term that I am not famlier with. Summative assesment is an assesment that is conducted at a particular point in time. 

 

This module taught me about the importance of electronic tools to help teach and assess students in their program.

 

Feedback is crucial to the success of the students. Giving positive feedback gives the students confidence in what they are doing. Also providing constructive feedback will ensure you are giving the students the correct direction so that they can learn and succeed.

 

I learned that the better directions that we give to students and if we do it step by step the students will have a better chance of success.

 

I learned that we need to be consistant in the contect that we develop for the students.

 

I have learned that we should not talk to students about their history with their disability. I should keep conversation with student with disabilities the same as I would with all other students. 


I also learned to direct students to the school's disability services officer to develope reasonable accomodiations. 

This module taught me more about individual disabilities for students and what type of reasonable accomodations should be made. 

 

I have learned that as instructors/educational institutions we must not discriminate those with disabilities. We must do what we can to reasonably accomidate these students. 

 

Establishing your authority is key to the online classroom. Students need to have the same respect for you, and their fellow students, as they would in the classroom. The way to keep that respect is to make sure you establish who is going to make the rules and grade the test, but at the same time you want to make sure that you respect the students as well.
