Activity

Yes, Gil, and the checkpoints are what are vital. How do you ensure you have the most effective checkpoints throughout the process?
Learner autonomy is a critical goal in higher education, Steven, as you say. Students can often resist the kinds of activities and challenges presented to them by instructors in this process, however, they are vital. Great points, Steven.
Yes, Steven, and this kind of constant connectivity has huge implications for how courses are designed and delivered and the kinds of assignments students can be involved in. So, given this, what kinds of changes would you say are most important for instructional design and delivery?
Good points, Warren. So, focusing on the process, what would you say are the most vital aspects to evaluate in terms of the learning that has taken place (e.g. thoughts, discussion/exchange, application)?
So, Steven, you're saying that the various options available via blended instruction will benefit more students in their learning process. I agree. What have you found to be the most effective options to offer your students in a blended delivery?
So how can you as an instructor, Jessie, ensure that your students develop both kinds of skills: technological skills and interpersonal skills?
Yes, Warren, the instructor is vital in the process even with new technology. Students must learn how to research and manage relevant and legitimate information and that guidance comes from the instructor - the content area expert.
Discussion Comment
Yes, Donna, the interactive white board can engage more students throughout their learning process. It is a great use of the technology to capture and distribute and then recall what was captured to work through more ideas and concepts. It keeps the learning as a dynamic process, rather than static and closed.
And how do you measure this kind of growth in your students, Donna?
Donna, do you think only time is the main benefit or anything else as well?
