Great point about "time on task", Kim. This works for both students and instructors as you say. It also means that often students are taking the initiative and being extremely self-directed, which is great.
Great point, Kim. It can also provide the first steps for faculty in using online tools for instruction. Mostly, it increases the potential for engagement and interactivity.
Don, how can some of that one-on-one time be used as an evaluative exercise so that more specific measurement of learning can take place?

Indeed, Ken. It is a tool in visual as well as concept processing. I would encourage you to try it out with your students sometime.

Andrea, I would encourage you to search and read something of these tools as each one can truly benefit students in the learning process. Blogs help students find individual voice so well and wikis help to build knowledge bases and resources collaboratively.
Well said, Ken. Teaching is not an exact science and ongoing learning is crucial. Learning from each other is also vital as we all strive to get better at our job.
Good point, Ken, so we need to make sure we award points for the most important aspects of the course :)

Sounds great, Jackie. Can you share any specific examples of how you do this?
So, Jackie, how can new technology help present content in a more interesting fashion to students? Also, how can new technology help support the actual learning process?
Yes, Jamie, the extension of learning is wonderful using new technology. How has it changed how you teach and how you design your instruction?
