Yes, Jack, just because students enjoy texting and communicating thoughts and ideas to each other does not mean that they have developing literacy skills - these still must be taught.
Good points, Jack. Students are exploring and so are teachers :) How do you think the nomadic characteristics of current students enhance the learning experience?
Yes, Jack, the accountability is raised as is the immediate feedback and progress of students as you say. How would you say this has changed your role and approach as an instructor?

Good points, Jack. The "speed" you mention is a great way of describing the direct connection and communication made possible by the technology. This, in turn, changes the pace and design of instruction.
Interesting points, Roger. Thinking of the actual capabilities of these technologies, how do you think teaching and leanring can maximize them for instruction?

Great summary of the history of the technology, Roger. Your last sentence is the central challenge for instructors using this technology in the instructional process. However, not only does the role of the instructor change, but there is now the opportunity for students to be front and center.
However, is there another way to find out that there is no confusion, Don? Problem solving is a great approach for this...
Thanks for the clarification, Don. Are you able to set some critcal problems that would require the students to not just choose and answer but to create a solution in response...?
SO what is your solution, Craig? What kind of sites would you work with or create yourself?
I'm not really sure the method you are referring to here, Don. How does this method check for understanding?
