I can apply what I have learned by using student survey results as a practical tool to improve the student experience, rather than treating them as a compliance requirement. By reviewing survey data annually, I can identify what students value most, where they are experiencing challenges, and which areas need immediate attention. Clearly defining how satisfaction and participation rates are calculated allows the institution to interpret results consistently and turn feedback into focused action plans, such as strengthening communication, enhancing academic advising or tutoring services, or improving instructional and engagement strategies. Assigning responsibility, setting timelines, and monitoring follow-up actions ensures… >>>

The importance of including this as a primary objective in the PEP is not solely to inform accrediting agencies, but also to understand the actual demand for the academic offering in the labor market and whether the institution conducts an assessment process that measures the effectiveness of employment strategies, trends, and the factors that influence this indicator. I agree with the example presented in the video that this criterion should be considered when developing institutional goals, given that labor market demands are advancing more rapidly in terms of required competencies and technological proficiency.

The PEP serves as the guide or lighthouse that directs the efforts of the academic program, aligned with the institution’s mission. Retention indicators, participation rates, and examination results are incorporated into the PEP to enable systematic and continuous monitoring of the effectiveness of the strategies established to support student success.

We always think that to carry out an assessment process, technology is the most important thing, if necessary. The important thing establishes a work plan aligned with the objectives. Planning is fundamental to the development of an effective assessment. Which allows the monitoring of student learning.

Hi,

I learned that for the assessment process to be effective, planning is required, identification of competencies, design of instruments and design de integrity rules and tools. I like the pdf that this module included.

Hi,

It is important to assess student learning within the teaching setting. In my case, it is efficient to use the rubric because it allows establishing the criteria based on the student learning outcomes of the program to which the course(s) belongs.

Hi,

I agree with Thuraya Abdullaabout three types of assessments: value-added, alternative and authentic assessments were new terminologies.

Hi,

I agree with the guidelines for writing and using objective assessments present in this module, they are:

Focus on the desired outcomes/objectives. Make sure the question is specific to the content and appropriate to the group being tested. Make objective assessments only one component of the total, varied student assessment process. For formative quizzes/tests, provide feedback for correct and incorrect answer options. Use short, frequent quizzes/tests. Use test banks based on several questions and randomly select questions for use in assessments. Write questions that require higher order skills.

Hi,

I consider that the diagnostic assessment is very important to design a self-assessment by pre-test and post-test and 1-2-3-list. It takes more time, the instructor continually develops assessment and evaluate the students. Is the best tool to identify learning level.

Hi,

I agree with the advantages and disadvantages of online assessment that this material presents: instructors can test any time and in any place, administration of tests is simplified, test questions can be randomized, objective tests can be automatically graded, and evaluation and analysis of student data are made easier. Online assessment is important because students have access from any device and time. I practice collecting feedback to identify if they understood the material.
